I’m Taya Ashley. I enjoy designing garments that are practical and elegant. I believe everyone deserves to look and feel good. I prefer hands on pattern making with paper to create intimacy throughout the process of developing a garment. I designed Sovereign Affairs to express the balance between refinement and agency. This is done through design elements and features that make apparel accessible for people with disabilities, including people in a market/ industry that often “others” them.
